Kylie Jenner Wore Marine Serre, Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture & Vintage Paco Rabanne for The ‘Gram
This weekend, Kylie Jenner posted a series of photos on Instagram as she approaches her 25th birthday on August 10.
In the first captioned “buckle the buttercup”, she wore a Navy Tight Red Line Couture dress made from upcycled denim belts from the spring 2023 collection.
My first thought was that this looks a lot like a Cardi B dress.
The dress is beautifully constructed, and I love how the abundance of eyelets, bows, and other embellishments don’t seem unreasonable to me as it appeals to the “more is more” maximalist in me.
The beauty mogul was spotted leaving Sexy Fish restaurant in London wearing a Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2022 Haute Couture Cobalt blue embossed leather coat accented with faux fur trims that she wore with the matching lace-up pointed toe sandals from the show.
I love the color, but the size of the coat is a bit comical for someone so short.
I have a feeling it would have worked better on Rihanna. His aura would have helped fill that space.
For a night out at London nightclub Tape with boyfriend Travis Scott, Kylie opted for another vintage moment.
She wore a silver chain mail Paco Rabanne Fall 1997 chainmail hooded top – which, ironically, is also 25 years old.
The nostalgic look was stylized with a pair of denim-blend patchwork jeans.
Can’t say I’m generally in love with patchwork jeans, but they work for me with this look, mostly because they were a 90s trend as well and the colors complemented the top.
Of the three, I would say the Paco Rabanne outing was my favorite from head to toe.
